Information on Financial Aid for Economically Disadvantaged Students (Higher Education Sprout Project)

Eligibility and Required Documents

  1. Students from Low-Income Households
    – Valid low-income household certificate issued by the local government.
  2. Students from Lower-Middle-Income Households
    – Valid lower-middle-income household certificate issued by the local government.
  3. Students with Disabilities or Children of Persons with Disabilities
    – (1) Students holding a disability certificate or handbook; or
    – (2) Students whose parent(s) or legal guardian holds a disability certificate.
  4. Children or Grandchildren from Special Circumstance Families
    – Valid certification of special circumstance family status issued by the local government.
  5. Indigenous Students
    – Proof of household registration.
  6. Students Eligible for the Ministry of Education Financial Aid Program for Disadvantaged Students
    – Please contact the Student Assistance Division for verification and documentation.
  7. Students Experiencing Family Hardship
    (e.g., loss of parents, domestic violence, abandonment, or sudden financial hardship such as impacts from the pandemic)
    – Proof of involuntary unemployment or reduced working hours agreement
    – Statement describing family hardship
    – Copy of ID card (front and back) or household registration transcript
  8. Pregnant Students or Students Raising Children Under Age 3
    – Pregnant students: copy of maternal health handbook
    – Household registration transcript issued within the past 3 months
  9. Other Students Recognized by the University as Economically Disadvantaged
